Shortcut for writing Math or Science Tests in Microsoft Word

Greetings fellow Math/Science teachers!

I have found a shortcut in Microsoft word that makes writing equations considerably simpler.

After hitting insert and then equation,

1) if you would like to raise something to a power, you can simply use the "^" button as opposed to clicking the box raised to a box icon. This defaults to that icon and is much more user friendly and fast.

2) If you would like to use fractions, you can do so by just using the " / " button and it defaults to the fraction icon.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Alternative Factoring Methods

Here's a link to the pdf.

Greetings fellow Math Teachers/Enthusiasts/Students!

Some students struggle with factoring- a lot- the guess and check method doesn't click with a fair percentage of students.

Because of this fact, I did a little research, and found some other ways to factor trinomials.

The AC Method ,The Swing, and The Berry Method "How To's" are above. Let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to use this any way you need!  The AC is my personal favorite of the three.

If you would like the how to berry method click here.

Here is the downloadable/printable pdf of the AC Method How To = here
